Coronary Artery Disease and Interventional Cardiology Clinical Trials

A Multicenter, Randomized, Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled Study to Evaluate the Safety and Efficacy of SCH 530348 in Addition to Standard of Care in Subjects with Acute Coronary Syndrome: Thrombin Receptor Antagonist for Clinical Event Reduction in Acute Coronary Syndrome (TRA-CER)

  • The primary objective is to evaluate the hypothesis that SCH 530348 added to standard of care will reduce the incidence of atherothrombotic ischemic events relative to standard of care alone.
  • Subjects must have evidence or a history of atherosclerosis involving the coronary, cerebral, or peripheral vascular system as evidenced by MI, ischemic stroke, intermittent claudication (ABI <0.85, amputation, bypass or angioplasty)
  • Periodic clinic visit follow-up for 36 months
  • The primary investigator is Jay Kaufman, MD
  • The study coordinator is Clarissa England, BS, CCRP (602) 344-5194

The Effect of Eplerenone Versus Placebo on Cardiovascular Mortality and Heart Failure Hospitalization in Subjects With NYHA Class II Chronic Systolic Heart Failure.

  • The objective of this study is to determine if Eplerenone plus standard heart failure medicines is being compared to placebo plus standard heart failure medicines in terms of an additional ability to prolong life and prevent re-hospitalizations for worsening heart failure in these patients.
  • Subjects with history of chronic systolic heart failure for a least 4 weeks
  • Patients will be randomized to receive Eplerenone or placebo
  • The primary investigator is Christian Brebruda, MD
  • The study coordinator is Clarissa England, BS, CCRP (602) 344-5194
