Emergency Medicine Interventional Clinical Trials Strategies using Off-Patent antibiotics for Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus ("STOP MRSA") - A Phase IIB, multi-center, randomized, double-blind clinical trial
  • The primary objective is to evaluate the hypothesis that treatment with combinations of oral antibiotics will reduce the incidence of infections related to the community acquired methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus.
  • Subjects, over 13 years of age, with acute uncomplicated skin and soft tissue infections
  • A test of cure clinic visit follow-up at about 9 weeks
  • The primary investigator is Frank LoVecchio, DO, MPH, FACEP
