A Randomized, Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled, Phase-2b Study to Assess the Safety and Efficacy Effects of ART-123 on Subjects with Sepsis and Disseminated Intravascular Coagulation

  • The purpose of this study is to see if ART-123 (recombinant human soluble thrombomodulin) decreases the number of people who die as a result of Disseminated Intravascular Coagulation (DIC) complication of sepsis.
  • Subjects with Infection or suspected infection resulting in sepsis and DIC
  • Patients will be randomized to receive ART-123  or placebo

Efficacy and Safety of Drotrecogin Alfa (Activated) in Adult Patients with Septic Shock

  • The purpose of this placebo-controlled study is to determine if drotrecogin alfa (activated) treatment provides significant mortality reduction improvement in patients with septic shock compared with placebo treatment in patients receiving the current standard of care for septic shock.
  • Subjects with septic shock as a result of infection and sepsis
  • Adult Patients With Septic Shock will be randomized to receive Xigris or placebo administered as a continuous 96-hr infusion

Efficacy and Safety Evaluation of ALT-836 in Patients with Sepsis and Acute Lung Injury/Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome

  • The objective of this study the safety of ALT-836 (a recombinant chimeric anti-tissue factor antibody) and to assess the number of ventilator-free days.
  • Subjects must have a suspected or proven infection and positive pressure ventilation via endotracheal tube.  
  • Patients will be randomized to receive a one time 15-min infusion of either ALT-836 or Placebo
