Maricopa Integrated Health System's Reverified as Arizona's Only Hospital to Provide Adult and Pediatric Trauma Services
After an extensive review, the American College of Surgeons (ACS) reverifed MIHS' hospital as an Adult Trauma Center at Level I status. The designation is the highest level any trauma program in the country can achieve. The Trauma Program was first verified at Level I by the ACS in December 2008.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has identified Maricopa Integrated Health System as one of 55 Ebola treatment centers in the United States. The University of Arizona Health Network also was designated.

Centene Foundation for Quality Healthcare Awards $50,000 to Help Four Maricopa Integrated Health System Programs
Dr. Dean Coonrod, Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at MIHS, said the grants will be used to expand critical programs that support vulnerable women, including victims of domestic violence.

The Maricopa County Special Health Care District Board of Directors has unanimously agreed to accept a request by the Maricopa County Department of Public Health and the Arizona Department of Health Services to designate the Maricopa Integrated Health System (MIHS) as an "Infectious Disease Treatment Center of Excellence."
