Endoscopy

Endoscopy

Located on the first floor of the main campus, the MIHS Endoscopy staff are highly trained and experienced with over 100 years of combined experience in providing services to adult and pediatric patients. Endoscopy is a nonsurgical procedure used to examine a person's digestive tract. Procedures are done on a scheduled basis for out-patients – hospital patients are seen as needed.

Endoscopy may be recommended to evaluate some of the following medical symptoms:

  • Stomach pain
  • Ulcers: open sores that fail to heal
  • Gastritis: inflammation of the lining of the stomach
  • Difficulty swallowing
  • Digestive tract bleeding
  • Changes in bowel habits

The MIHS endoscopy team has the ability to go to any unit of the hospital and perform necessary procedures. They work tirelessly to treat and address each patient’s needs.
