Family Health Center

Services

We are dedicated to giving all residents of Maricopa County, regardless of their financial status, access to top-quality medical care. Our mission is to provide you and your family with team-based compassionate healthcare services and to be a partner in your path to wellness.

We offer the following services to help you achieve your healthcare goals:

Family Medicine
These services are devoted to comprehensive healthcare for people of all ages. We provide all-inclusive healthcare to individuals and families. We also emphasize disease prevention and wellness programs, and our providers offer a wide range of acute, chronic and preventative medical care services.  

Dental
We offer routine exams and cleanings, oral hygiene, instruction for young patients and parents, digital x-rays, fluoride treatments, restorative treatments and emergency (pain relief) treatments.

Pharmacy
We understand it is convenient for our patients to have their pharmacy located inside the health center to serve their prescription needs immediately. We work hard to put your medication needs and costs first – our pharmacy is here to serve you.

Pediatrics
With dedicated, experienced providers and a host of other professionals caring for kids, care is delivered to them from the heart. Scientific and evidenced-based care is provided in a caring, compassionate and family-centered healing environment.

Obstetrics/Gynecology
Women’s healthcare is delivered by our highly skilled physicians and nurse midwives with compassion and sensitivity. We constantly work to improve the health of the women in our community by offering a wide range of services for every stage of a woman’s life. Our services include contraception, prenatal care, well women’s exams including pap tests and breast exams and menopausal care. 

Family Planning
Along with free pregnancy testing, we offer services that include education, contraceptive methods such as oral contraceptives and IUDs, and sexually transmitted disease screening. 

Medical Imaging (Radiology)
These services provide imaging of the internal body for diagnostic purposes. Radiology is often used to assist our doctors in diagnosing and treating many acute and chronic conditions. In addition to x-rays, we also perform ultrasounds.

Laboratory
We offer an onsite lab that performs blood drawings that can be sent to external laboratories and point of care testing, such as urinalysis and glucose testing.

Family Learning Center
The Family Learning Centers (FLCs) are libraries for patients, their families and the community. The FLCs offer health information, community referrals, classes, literacy activities and enrollment assistance. Books, pamphlets, DVDs, a children’s reading area and computers with internet access are provided to visitors.

Cardiology
MIHS provides comprehensive cardiovascular care through a team of experienced cardiovascular and imaging specialists. Our decades of experience in treating complex heart and vascular conditions have led the hospital to become recognized regionally for its excellence as a leader in imaging and cardiovascular outcomes.

Internal MedicineInternal medicine physicians are specialists who apply scientific knowledge and clinical expertise to the diagnosis, treatment and compassionate care of patients facing a variety of health complications.

Diabetes Education

Diabetes is the condition in which the body does not properly process food for use as energy. Diabetes can cause serious health complications including heart disease, blindness, kidney failure and lower-extremity amputations.

Care Coordinator
A patient care coordinator's job is to ensure that the medical facility is providing high quality care services. They work with administration, staff and patients to reach health care goals and to keep the lines of communication open.
