Maricopa Health Foundation’s annual CopaBall generates support for numerous patient services, education and research projects and community outreach programs within Maricopa Integrated Health System.

Maricopa Health Foundation sincerely thanks everyone that contributed to the success of the 8th Annual CopaBall, held on October 15, 2011 at the Biltmore Resort and Spa. This year, over 600 people attended and generously provided over $235,000 in support of MHF’s mission.

Thanks to the generous support of attendees at the event’s live auction, over $100,000 was raised specifically for medical equipment in the Pediatric Department. Maricopa Health Foundation will be able to provide the Arizona Children’s Center at Maricopa Medical Center with many items on their wish list:

• Cinemavision MRI Goggles –to reduce the need for sedation for children needing an MRI
• Accuvein Vein Finders – to improve the accuracy and efficiency of IV’s in our pediatric patients
• Waterless Breast Milk Warmers – to help new mothers give their newborns the best nutrition
• Vecta Sensory Distraction Machines – to help improve the child’s experience while in our care
• Infant Immobilizers – so we are able to provide a safer environment for the babies needing routine procedures
• Giraffe Incubator Accessories – to allow for greater effectiveness in our current Neonatal equipment
• Simulation Newborn – to provide medical educational support to our staff for our littlest patients

CopaBall 2011 was a tremendous success and with your continued support, Maricopa Health Foundation can continue to provide access to healthcare to those in need.
