Every day, millions of Americans take medications prescribed by their doctor to ease pain, cure ailments, even to enhance their quality of life. But what happens when people simply cannot afford prescriptions that they desperately need?
At Maricopa Integrated Health System, such patients needn't worry. Through a special program, sponsored by the Maricopa Health Foundation, assistance to purchase prescriptions is provided to those who are financially disadvantaged. That means the patients can go home, feel better, and recuperate - quicker and easier. This is just one of the very special programs at Maricopa Integrated Health System that is supported by the Maricopa Health Foundation.
Committed to patient welfare, health education, and special programs, the Maricopa Health Foundation touches lives daily at Maricopa Integrated Health System. Whether helping young students learn about health care, providing needy patients with medical treatment, or raising funds for important capital projects, the Foundation stands ready to help.
The Foundation generates financial support for these critical initiatives through charitable gifts, fundraising, and grants from other foundations, corporations, and federal and state agencies. The Foundation's mission is three-fold:
- To advance patient welfare at Maricopa Medical Center;
- To advance the practices of health care professionals through education and research; and
- To sponsor educational and scientific activities, projects, and programs that advance these objectives.
The Maricopa Health Foundation is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization and an integral part of the culture, care and service at Maricopa Integrated Health System. Everyday, the efforts of the Foundation touch the lives of our patients.
