Maricopa Integrated Health System is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Calendar of Regularly Scheduled Category 1 CME
Through institutional clinical departments, MIHS offers physicians a wide variety of continuing medical education opportunities. Recurring events such as Grand Rounds are held on our main campus, and our Psychiatry facility in Mesa. Recurring events take place each month, with presenters from our own organization and distinguished faculty from around the country.

Live CME Conferences
Through internal and joint sponsorship, MIHS offers physicians courses in all specialties of practice. These conferences can range from one hour to a full week, and are offered locally and nationally. Jointly sponsored courses are added monthly.

The Continuing Medical Education Committee
The Continuing Medical Education (CME) Committee of the Maricopa Integrated Health System functions as the governing and certification body that reviews and approves all MIHS certified CME activities targeted to convene within and outside the system. In accordance with the ACCME Standards, the CME Committee will review and approve the granting of CME credit by MIHS for (i) internal conferences within the Medical Center; (ii) conferences within other departments of (e.g., Ambulatory Care, and Long Term Care); and (iii) state, regional and national conferences involving sponsorship by MIHS. Compliance with ACCME Standards will be monitored by a review of the annual summaries of needs assessments as conducted by the program planners of educational events, the applications for CME credits, the program evaluation summaries, and the program attendance summaries. The Committee will rescind any CME Credit granted if it finds noncompliance with the ACCME Standards or the MIHS Policy on Continuing Medical Education.
