Maricopa Integrated Health System CEO, 2005 Woman of the Year
Betsey Bayless will accept award from Valley Leadership during April 19 luncheon at Arizona Biltmore - April 18, 2006
At 11:30 a.m. on April 19, 2006 Maricopa Integrated Health System CEO Betsey Bayless will accept the 2005 Woman of the Year Award from Valley Leadership, a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating community members about important civic issues.
Since Bayless began her duties at Maricopa Integrated Health System last September, MIHS has flourished. Together with the Special Health Care District Board of Directors, Bayless has worked hard to ensure the district’s financial stability. Today, MIHS has repaid its debts to Maricopa County and is firmly in the black.
Paulina Morris, Special Health Care District chairwoman said Bayless is deserving of the honor.
“Betsey’s leadership skills are serving our patients and the citizens of Maricopa County well,” Morris said. “She is a leader in every sense of the word.”
With a distinguished career in public service that spans nearly two decades, Bayless has seen the Valley become a thriving metropolis. She credits organizations like Valley Leadership for giving Valley citizens the opportunity to take ownership in their community.
“I am honored and humbled by this award,” Bayless said. “Valley leadership is dedicated to bettering our community. Their great service and important work brings our community closer together.”
