The Daisy Award

Nominate a Maricopa Integrated Health System Nurse for the DAISY Award

Want to thank your MIHS nurse for extraordinary care? Nominate them for the DAISY Award.

MIHS is proud of our nurses and has partnered with the DAISY Foundation to help recognize our excellent nurses. The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses recognizes the special work that nurses do every day.

Patients, visitors, nurses, physicians and employees may nominate a deserving nurse who demonstrates extraordinary, compassionate and excellent care every day.

Please share your story about a special MIHS nurse that made a meaningful difference in your care.

** Please describe a specific situation or story that clearly demonstrates how this nurse made a meaningful difference in your care.

About the DAISY Foundation

The DAISY Foundation was created in 1999 by the family of J. Patrick Barnes who died at the age of 33 from complications of an auto-immune disease [hence the name, an acronym for Diseases Attacking the Immune System]. Patrick received extraordinary care from his nurses and his family felt compelled to express their profound gratitude for the compassion and skill nurses bring to patients and families every day. The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses celebrates nurses in more than 2,300 health care facilities around the world. For more information about The DAISY Award and the Foundation’s other recognition of nurses, faculty and students, visit www.DAISYfoundation.org.
