Logan's Playground

Many young people have children. If you’re a young parent, it may be difficult to bring children with you to your medical appointments.  Logan’s Playground provides free childcare for clients of Body Positive and the McDowell Healthcare Center. Kids are able to stay there while their family members are getting care. It is a fun and safe environment full of games, movies, and crafts.

Kristen Bakalis currently heads up Logan’s Playground. She has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Family and Human Development from Arizona State University.  She loves kids and has nearly a decade of experience taking care of them. She loves her work.

Kristen described the goal of Logan’s Playground. “One of my main goals is to provide family-centered care.  I find out the needs of the parents and children.  I like to provide a fun place for children to play and learn.    

And Kristen succeeds! Parents often tell Kristen how happy their children are about coming to Logan’s Playground. “They say their kids always want to know when they will visit next so that they can have the chance to play again. It’s very sweet.”

Logan’s Playground is located at 1144 E. McDowell Road. It is open Monday through Friday, from 8AM to 5PM. To make an appointment, contact Kristen at 602-307-5330, Ext. 2255.
