Medicare Part D FAQs Updated
HRSA/HAB has updated its FAQs on the interface between Ryan White and Medicare Part D programs, outlining such basics as the standard benefit and cost sharing amounts like co-pays, enrollment deadlines for those who are newly eligible for Medicare, and how ADAP and Medicare Part D work together in covering client costs. Among the minor updates in the FAQs is information about switching plans to reflect new Medicare policy (enacted June 2007) that allows all Medicare beneficiaries receiving a Limited Income Subsidy to change to another Part D prescription drug plan at any time during the year. The Medicare Part D program provides prescription drug coverage to almost 100,000 Medicare beneficiaries living with HIV/AIDS. To see the updated FAQs go to: ftp://ftp.hrsa.gov/hab/partdmed.pdf
