Family Advocate

The Advocate takes the lead in disseminating information to consumers in the program and to the Part D -eligible community at large. Information is distributed using four primary methods: 1) weekly e-mails are distributed to consumers regarding events, information and opportunities; 2) for those who do not have access to a computer, a phone tree has been established whereby consumers receive calls when news and announcements are made; over 215 individuals are on the call list; 3) the consumer advocate attends the women's clinic weekly and distributes and shares updates with those attending the clinic, women's luncheon and support group; and 4) the consumer advocate attends a minimum of eight community meetings a month where she provides updates to groups and individuals.
