Health Care Opportunities
Women's and Children's Care
At Maricopa Medical Center, our women's and children's care areas include a birthing center, antepartum and nursery unit, pediatrics; pediatric intensive care unit; Level III neonatal intensive care unit; pediatric emergency and burn unit. Our labor and delivery department provides tertiary care for high-risk mothers and infants.
The Arizona Burn Center
Nationally renowned for the quality of its burn care, this regional burn center provides inpatient and outpatient care for both adult and pediatric patients, serving all of Arizona and other Southwestern states.
Level I Trauma and Emergency Center
Our adult emergency department is a Level I Trauma Center and the pediatric emergency department is the only 24 hour emergency department in the Valley dedicated to the needs of children, caring for more than 30,000 children annually.
Adult Special Care
A cardiac intensive care unit; surgical intensive care unit; medical intensive care unit and an adult progressive care unit span all ages and diagnoses.
Medical/Surgical
General medicine and surgery units accommodate patients recovering from surgery, as well as pulmonary, oncology, diabetic and cardiac problems.
Peri-Operative Services
Inpatient and outpatient surgeries as well as a post-anesthesia care unit.
Outpatient
Outpatient primary and specialty care services are offered through a specialty care clinic, 11 primary care centers and a clinic for the treatment of HIV-positive patients. Nursing opportunities are available in the areas of pediatrics, surgery, pain, women's care, ophthalmology, dialysis, endoscopy, medical, hematology and oncology.
Special programs
Unique nursing opportunities are available in home health; clinical education; case management (health plans, long term care), cardiac cath and cardiac rehabilitation.
