Donna coordinates all medical education contracts for MIHS. Prior to joining academic affairs, she was the program coordinator for the Podiatry Residency Program and Surgical Critical Care Fellowship, as well as the clerkship coordinator for medical students rotating into the Department of Surgery.

Donna will speak about her children to anyone who will listen. During her free time, she enjoys crafts, pyrography and couponing.

Anna joined the MIHS family in 2009 after a 25-year career in the arts utilizing her master’s degree as a dance/movement therapist, dancer/choreographer and instructor. After five amazing years in recreation therapy in the behavioral health setting, she had the opportunity to join the academic affairs family. She loves the path her career has gone and is dedicated to healthcare education. In her free time, she still enjoys the arts, hiking and travel with my family.

Jessica is new to medical education but has been involved in healthcare for most of her life as her dad was a hospital administrator. She received her bachelor’s degree in fine arts and a dual master’s degree in business administration and health care management. A weird combo, yet she has always loved the world of academics and healthcare—due to its crazy, constantly changing and always innovating ways!

Her interests include analyzing data, performing magic and making spreadsheets fun. She is passionate about her family, pets and vacations.

Xoe has been around the academic side of healthcare for as long as she can remember, as the daughter of a Medical Librarian.

She has worked in every facet of healthcare education including: Graduate Medical Education, Undergraduate Medical Education, Continuing Medical Education, and Nursing & Allied Health Education. She is very fortunate to be involved in the rearing of the next generation of healthcare professionals. She has a Bachelor of Science in psychology, which she finds strangely useful in her role.

In addition to healthcare education, her passions include advocating for the LGBTQ+ community (especially youth), cosplay, history and travel.

Mary Ellen has worked in medical education for over 30 years. She would easily acknowledge that she loves what she does and does what she loves.

She is an avid New York Yankee fan, loves football and Bruce Springsteen. Oh, and did she mention she is a native New Yorker???

Susan has been in medical education for over eight years. She has a mostly unused degree in library science, and an eclectic work background that includes retail bookstore clerk, meeting and event planning, and project coordination in civil engineering.

She loves music, everything from Medieval/Renaissance to classical to Scandinavian fantasy metal. Her office is inhabited by wizards, fairies and a large rainbow dragon. And when she is not in academic affairs, you can find her gaming, crafting, or painting little metal miniatures.

Phyllis has worked in medical education for over 20 years, originally as the assistant director of GME at the Midwestern College of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona. Since 2001, she has served as administrative director, and now, director of academic affairs at Maricopa Integrated Health System. Phyllis holds a Master of Science in health care education.

Phyllis is an avid Harry Potter fan and animal lover. When she isn’t improving the education of the next generation of healthcare professionals, you can find her spending time with her family and pets.

  • X

Cynthia is responsible for many tasks within the Department of Academic Affairs, for instance, meeting management, employment verifications and loan deferments. There is no task too big or too small that she cannot accomplish.

Cynthia received her Bachelor of Science in integrative health from Arizona State University. She is originally from Southern California and enjoys spending time with her puppy Aria.
