Nursing and Allied Health

We are committed to providing high quality learning experiences for those students who choose MIHS for an on-site clinical experience. Our mission is to provide exceptional care, without exception, every patient, every time. Our values guide how we treat each other, our patients, families and visitors. Our commitment to exceptional health care and our diverse patient population offers rewarding clinical experiences for 2000+ Nursing and Allied Health students in nearly 60 health care related disciplines each academic year.

Clinical Rotations

Student Clinical Rotations are scheduled through the individual’s University or College Program and requires that an Affiliation Agreement be in place. To meet the rotation deadline, you must request a rotation four weeks prior to the start days requested by your school. All student and instructors must be approved three weeks prior to the approved rotation date.

All necessary information for preparation should be provided through your school. Please contact your faculty at your Academic Institution.

Students are discouraged from cold calling for a preceptor or rotation availability. This must be done through your school coordinator.

MIHS requires that all students complete requirements through myClinicalExchange (mCE) before a rotation begins.

Health & Safety

All students are required to meet the following health & safety requirements:

  • Immunizations – MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tetanus (within the last 10 years), TB (within 1 year of rotation date)
  • 10 panel drug screen
  • DPS Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card or a cleared criminal background check
  • Current Influenza Vaccination

Students participating in patient care must meet all of the above requirements and:
