Bond Election

About the Bond Election

At the request of the Maricopa County Special Health Care District Board of Directors who govern Maricopa Integrated Health System (“MIHS”), the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors has authorized a bond election at the November 4, 2014 General Election. The Special Health Care District Board of Directors applied to the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors to order the bond election, submitting to the qualified voters of the District the question of authorizing the issuance of general obligation bonds not exceeding $935,000,000. The bonds will be used to develop, improve and expand MIHS healthcare facilities for outpatient care and behavioral health throughout Maricopa County, and replace the MIHS public teaching hospital Maricopa Medical Center, its Level One Trauma Center and Arizona Burn Center, on the existing campus.
