Cardiology Services

As an Arizona Cardiac Receiving Center, MIHS provides comprehensive cardiovascular and vascular care through a team of experienced cardiovascular and imaging specialists. Our decades of experience in treating complex heart and vascular conditions have led MIHS to become recognized regionally for its excellence as a leader in imaging and cardiovascular outcomes.

When hospitalization is needed, we provide highly specialized care within our inpatient units. Our vascular operating room and interventional radiology suite provide a versatile environment for our vascular specialists to perform complex surgeries and procedures involving the vascular system. Advanced x-ray and 3D imaging equipment allow the vascular team to view the structures and repairs inside the body in near real time.

Cardiopulmonary 
Located on the first floor of the hospital’s main campus, the goal of the Cardiopulmonary Service Department is to provide therapeutic and diagnostic services to our adult, pediatric and neonatal patients. Our department treats patients from medical and surgical multi-specialties of burn, trauma, neurology, cardiac, respiratory, GI and renal.

Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab)
MIHS is equipped with two Cath Lab suites designed for diagnostic and interventional cardiology. Our cardiologists are equipped to diagnose heart disease, correct abnormal heart rhythms, improve blood flow to the heart and help our cardiovascular patients maintain proper heart rates. MIHS also offers modern electrophysiology services to diagnose and treat electrical conditions in the heart.

Cardiology Clinic
As an Arizona Cardiac Receiving Center, the MIHS Cardiology Clinic, located on the third floor of the Comprehensive Health Center, provides consultation, evaluation and treatment, device clinic, medical clearance for procedures and surgeries along with managing anti-coagulation for heart valve patients. We focus treatment options based on each case providing informative, patient-centered care through multitude of treatment options. We also offer cardiac rehabilitation, holter and event monitoring along with EKG’s. Our physicians are board-certified in cardiology, electrophysiology and interventional cardiology.

We provide cardiology services at five metro locations located in our Family Health Center Clinics – Glendale, Avondale, El Mirage, Mesa and Chandler.

Vascular 
At MIHS, we are experienced with a spectrum of surgeries and procedures to treat a variety of vascular conditions. Our operating room and interventional radiology suite provide a versatile environment for our vascular specialists to perform complex surgeries and procedures. Advanced x-ray and 3D imaging equipment allow the vascular team to view the structures and repairs inside the body in near real-time.
